Address therapy development challenges with Aqtual’s active chromatin cfDNA platform
Aqtual offers what no other liquid biopsy can: interpretable readouts of the biological functions occurring in tissues and cells that actively contribute to chronic disease and cancer. Unlocking longitudinal collections provides patient disease trajectories that were previously impossible without repeated tissue biopsies. Learn how you can leverage the platform to inform your drug development programs.
Data and biospecimen solutions that match your research question.
Access cell-free active chromatin sequencing data or structure the data into reusable functional disease atlases built on single-cell, spatial, and other published or database biological annotations. We will process and analyze your prospective and/or biobanked plasma, or we can collect cohort samples through our biospecimen network.
Biospecimens
Design a study using consented, IRB-approved, and annotated samples from over 150 disease states, and add Aqtual platform readouts as either data only or a structured Functional Disease Atlas.
Biospecimen-supported studiesPlatform Data
Active-chromatin cfDNA yields gene- and program-level signatures of biological activity at cell and tissue resolution.
Platform DataFunctional Disease Atlases
A plasma-based, disease-specific ontology that transforms active-chromatin cfDNA into a structured, reusable map of tissue, immune, stromal, and pathway biology for translational research and drug development.
Functional Disease AtlasesRepeat sampling of tissue biology from blood, not biopsies
Aqtual's antibody-free, active chromatin capture reconstructs tissue- and pathway-specific gene expression programs non-invasively from a standard blood draw. Unlike predefined panels or single-timepoint biopsies, our functional liquid biopsy unlocks tissue-resolved biological context that can be sampled repeatedly across a treatment course.
Tissue-level active programs from blood
Regulatory activity in synovium, tumor, stroma, and immune compartments, read without a biopsy.
Responders and non-responders, before dosing
Baseline profiles predict which therapy class corrects an individual's mechanistic dysfunction.
How your therapy reshapes disease biology
Which biological pathways are most affected by treatment, measured in patients rather than inferred from models.
Changes in patient trajectories before endpoints
Longitudinal sampling reveals changes in functional state, visible before clinical measures shift.
A disease-specific biological model, scored in every patient.
Rather than a fixed biomarker catalog, an Aqtual Atlas is a dynamic, disease-specific biological model. We map curated tissue and cell-state evidence onto our blood-based active-chromatin cfDNA readout, qualify reliably measurable elements in plasma, and organize the data into quantifiable, interpretable programs scored for individual patients. Each Atlas serves as a reusable translational asset, fully customizable for specific indications, molecules, and cohorts.
Functional Disease Atlases represent actionable patient data
Functional Disease Atlas:
- •Named biological programs organized by compartment and mechanism
- •Anchored in tissue and cell biology
- •Adapted to a specific indication
Patient-state matrix:
Every patient sample is scored across each disease-relevant functional program, providing a model that describes the underlying biology.
Longitudinal trajectories:
Repeat sampling at critical time points informs each patient's program trajectories:
- •Baseline disease biology before treatment
- •On-treatment responsive and non-responsive programs
- •Progression & resistance mechanisms
Structured data ontologies built to inform translational drug development
Pharmacodynamic markers:
Quantitative program readouts to monitor target engagement and biological effect.
Response and resistance hypotheses:
Interpret program activity changes across patient states in terms of underlying biological mechanisms—between cohorts and within-patient trajectories.
Prioritized follow-up:
Use data-driven recommendations to de-risk and streamline clinical and translational studies.
Curated biospecimens for research that include active-chromatin functional analysis.
Why would a precision medicine company that is redefining disease with a proprietary active-chromatin cfDNA platform also supply biospecimens? Because the platform depends on deeply characterized patient material, we built the procurement infrastructure ourselves: US clinical sites, international partners, six laboratories, and an on-site QC lab.
We now make that same material and capability available to research partners in every major therapeutic area. Biospecimens are ethically sourced with IRB approval and annotated with comprehensive electronic medical record information. The team running it has supplied thousands of samples to pharma over the past decade.
Specimens alone
Banked or prospective, annotated and QC'd.
Specimens with Aqtual platform data
Active-chromatin cfDNA analysis is included for each sample. Also available for client-supplied samples.
Commissioned prospective collection
The protocol incorporates collection, pre-analytical, and molecular profiling considerations before study recruitment.
Bolstering drug development, from blood samples to disease model.
Aqtual processes your samples and runs active-chromatin cfDNA analysis in-house, so comparability holds from tube to readout. If you need samples too, we can also collect them through our biospecimen network.
If you need samples, we can source them through our biospecimen network and consult on a study design.
Plasma prep, cfDNA extraction, and active-chromatin enrichment in our clinical laboratory.
Sequencing, QC, and tissue-resolved readouts delivered analysis-ready.
Longitudinal tissue-informed biological programs that inform translational development.
One chain of custody, one ontology, first tube to final readout.
One conversation. One partner.
